Traffic Signals: A Key to Success
As I set here waiting for the light to turn, gazing up at the traffic signal before me. I can’t help but wonder how it connects to one’s ability to succeed. It seems our lives today always get the green light as we are constantly on the go quickly speeding up the highways and byways of life. In keeping up with the others on the go, we may miss some vital opportunities possible in along life’s pathway.
These vital opportunities could have held difference between success and failure. When we realize what could have been, it may be too late causing road rage to fester in our hearts, as we blame the others travelling along side us at the same quick pace. So we accelerate and challenge the others to race us.
Why do we like to blame others for our own failures to see the red and yellow lights, while racing along always on green. All we need to do is stop and notice what is around us, then move cautiously on yellow as we get back into the traffic flow of life. If we can just take the extra time to notice our surroundings, we may find the success in life we all deserve.
To achieve success takes time and patience, so we need to heed the yellow lights and move with caution alert to potential opportunity, then stop to smell the coffee so we can stay alert to possibilities, and move forward confidently on green knowing we are giving opportunity our all.
